Anne Hegney - CHEF/OWNER
Born in Australia, and raised in Canada, Anne has been a passionate foodie since the age of, oh...six. Her heart's desire was always to be a chef, but she followed a more conventional path after high school, and studied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. But the heart wants what the heart wants, so after a year, she dropped out of university and moved to France to train at the Cordon Bleu de Paris.
Anne then spent 15 years in Montreal working as a chef, pastry chef, and High School Math teacher. The cold finally drove her out of Montreal and since 2000, she has been based in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica...when she's not traveling the world on a never ending culinary exploration.
She now likes to go by the title 'Executive Chef', which means she doesn't have to sweat it out on the line any more; she develops new recipes and works with the kitchen team to bring these dishes to life. She is also the Director of Social Media, which means that any errors on the website are entirely her fault.
Francisco Flores - MANAGER
Born and raised in Mexico, Francisco moved to Chicago after high school to study Hotel and Restaurant Management. He has worked throughout Mexico and the Caribbean and has been based in Costa Rica since 2000.
Francisco spends his free time running up and down hills, and driving his kids to swim meets.

Sardinal, Costa Rica has always been home for Heriberto, who has been an indispensable part of the Ginger team from the beginning.
Heriberto is calm, cool and collected on the busiest nights, and can always be counted on the smile through the storm that is dinner service.
